Background of School
Our History
Wisdom Academy opened in 2013. It is situated on spacious grounds about 4KM south of Hazyview town which is about 30KM from the giant Kruger National Park. There are small classes that facilitate individual learner attention. Wisdom Academy is renowned for its welcoming, friendly atmosphere and its happy caring, safe and stimulating learning environment. It has a strong pastoral ethos and all the school’s stakeholders are highly valued. A high standard of discipline is expected from all pupils and the school promotes positive behavior management through a programme of rules, rewards and consequences.
School Mascot
We chose the owl as our school mascot because owls are keen and knowledgeable creatures. Like the students at Wisdom Academy, the owl is a peaceful creature. The curious owl sits quietly, observing and watching with its wide eyes. Wisdom students do the same, with a sense of wide eyed wonder! Owls can turn their heads 270 degrees. This helps them to look around their environment. They keep their ecosystems healthy, and we are learning to be stewards of our environment too.

Owls are wise seekers, searching the woodlands like Wisdom students seek out wisdom in the library. Impossible to stop, strong and accurate, owls are like the students of Wisdom as they meet new learning challenges and grow wiser as they conquer their mistakes and fears. Swift and wise, owls glide through the forest so are students at Wisdom as they soar in classrooms seeking knowledge and wisdom. Wisdom was designed to develop within students, educators, and community a deeper sense of connection to the world around them. We value the togetherness the building brings to the community. We scaffold the curiosity and wonder children carry within.

Diversity of Education Acivities offfered
A wide variety of extra-curricular activities are offered to students including Boys and Girls soccer, hockey, cricket, netball, valley ball, chess, Tennis ,Drama club, Public speaking club, Choir, Cycling, Environmental club, Educational tours and Scripture Union club.
